The leaves are changing, the weather colder, and the warmth of a fire calls your name. This fall warm up at Campfire Bay Resort. Located on Fish Trap Lake, there is a ton to see and explore. Grab your sweater and family and experience all the fun adventures of fall.

Get out and experience the vibrant colors up close. Nature lovers will love all the parks, conservancies, and trails within a short drive of our resort. There are easy trails for the whole family to get out and take in the fall air. Check out Pillsbury State Forest and the Charles A. Lindbergh State Park for great hiking options. The Paul Bunyan Bike Trail is an excellent paved bike trail that extends 80 miles for a fun excursion. You can even rent a  tandem or quad bike rental at the resort and do some sightseeing on the resort.

During your outing, a great fall activity is to pack a picnic basket and a blanket and find a place surrounded by colorful trees and have a snack together. Make caramel apples as a treat for a day well spent. On your hike have the kids collect colorful leaves. After your hike press them into a journal and add pictures of your vacation to create a unique scrapbook. This way the kids can point out the leaves they picked and have a piece of their vacation brought back with them.

Another exciting way to get out and see the fall colors is on horseback. There are two stables within 50 minutes of the resort. If your kids have never ridden a horse, this is an activity they have to do. It is a fun and interactive way to be outside and not get too tired. The kids will love the horses, and you will love the serenity of the forest around you.

After an eventful day of exploring the new season get cozy by the campfire. Campfire Bay Resort wants to make sure you have the opportunity to have a great time on your family vacation. That is why we offer a ton of activities and amenities to make sure everyone has something to do. Treat the family to a vacation full of color and fall into Fish Trap Lake.
