Crafting in the Lodge
 
Whether you are scrapbookers, quilters, knitters, crafters, or a group of girlfriends just looking to spend some time together, we have the perfect accommodations for you in our deluxe cabins Willow , Tamarack and Poplar, and in our deluxe 3br cabins Pine Beach and Cabin11.  Because we are a year-round resort and live on the property, we are always available to serve you and help you if something should go wrong or to just deliver a delicious latte to your table.  We want your stay to be fun and productive, so we've got the amenities you need all under one roof, including free wireless internet. Our check-in and check-out times are greatly extended from October to May-- 1pm check-in and 5pm check-out, so you have more time to work! 

Willow and Tamarack can accommodate up to 6 crafters comfortably, but up to eight if you don't mind being cramped, in the 1st floor workroom.  Each person has their own 6ft table and there is an extra 4X5 table for supplies.  Pine Beach can also accommodate up to 8 in the same way, but uses it's main living room to do so,  there is not a second living room for "hanging out" like in Willow, Tamarack, and Poplar.  Poplar can only hold 4 comfortably and 6 cramped in it's 1st floor workroom and Cabin 11 only 4, but  Cabin11 and Poplar are the closest to the lodge and will sleep up to 12 and 16, respectively, if two to a bed, and therefore are the best choices for big groups wanting to craft in the lodge . 

If your group is over 8 people, our lodge gathering room can accommodate around 20 crafters.  While you would have to make a short walk from your cabin to the lodge, there is a kitchen and 3 bathrooms inside so you would only need to leave to sleep (if you want to :) ).  Lodge guests are given a key to the lodge gathering room and have access to the building 24/7 while here.  There is a small additional fee of only $30 total for the entire weekend to work in the lodge. Note:  Most likely 9 and over would be crafting in the lodge, so you would need to take $30 and divide it by the number of people and add that to the total rate per person.

Do we have what you want?

 Scrapbookers:  We have all sorts of tools, a 12X12 paper cutter,  printer, a  Cricut Expression, a large Xyron sticker machine, a sewing machine, stamps, punches, and  idea books and magazines.  *Note:  Cabin 11 does not come with supplies, but can be supplied if the other 4 cabins are not full. Also, computers and Cricut cartridges are available for checkout in the lodge
Quilters:  We have lots of outlets, an extra sewing machine, irons, and ironing boards
All (but Pine Beach):  2 satellite TVs and DVD players (only 1 in PB), whirlpool tub, in-floor heat in the workroom (no cold tootsies!), and 2 gas fireplaces (one electric in Cabin 11)

 

Need supplies?  We have a small, but growing scrapbooking section with  items like adhesive, cutter blades, Cricut mats and blades, fun embellishments and stickers, cute album kits, and lots of patterned paper and cardstock for purchase in the lodge.  We've also got great coffee, cappuccinos,  lattes,  and other treats to sustain you on those late nights! Even though we're fairly remote, there is one store within five minutes of here (with limited hours, however) that carries  scrapbooking supplies and 1 scrapbooking store within 25 minutes of the resort  (Memories for the Making).  There are two great quilting stores (Quiltz and Country Fabrics) in Brainerd, 30 minutes away, and there is a fun knitting store, Among the Pines, also 30 minutes away in  Baxter.
