Sams Island Cabin

This charming, spacious 2-bedroom cabin on our one-acre island has 360-degree views of Fish Trap Lake. While this unit can sleep up to 7 people, note that the rate is based on 6. A beautiful, huge stone fireplace separates the living room from the kitchen/dining area. There is one full bath, a complete kitchen, cable TV and DVD player, and air conditioning (if you even need it, the cabin stays cool with all the lake breezes). The outside patio comes with wrought iron chairs and a table and a charcoal grill. A bonfire pit is located with great views of the sunset over the water. The swimming area, while small, is adequate for one family and is nice and sandy. Some of the best walleye fishing on the lake is located just yards off the island. Cabin rental comes with a canoe and row boat, but boats and pontoons are available for rent. Delivery to and from the island upon arrival and departure is also included (ONE trip each way, additional trips $20 each). Pets are allowed, and they love the freedom to roam the island!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to stay on an island?  Well wonder no longer and come stay at our beautiful cabin on our one acre island in the middle of Fish Trap Lake!  The 360 degree views allow you to fully enjoy nature, see both sunrises and sunsets, and have peace and quiet you normally just dream of.  Even as we were working hard to create this place, we felt as if we’d left the cares of our “world back there” behind each time we set foot on the island.  Now we want to share that experience with you.

Relax

If lying in a hammock just feet away from the water is not how you want to spend your entire vacation (though maybe most of it), some of the best walleye fishing on the lake is located just yards off the island. Cabin rental comes with a canoe and row boat, but boats and pontoons are available for rent.

Area Activities

Fishing, sleeping, relaxing, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, reading, exploring, loon watching, geocaching, eating, biking, hiking, making crafts, and playing are just some of the activities you can do on or very close to the island.
